55′ Rybovich – Bulkhead & Helm Window Frame Repair

Additional dry rot was found in the center bulkhead.  This required demoing the master closet and disassembling the aft portion of the salon.  The goal was not to alter the original aesthetics of the boat.  Care was taken during demo to preserve as much original material as possible.  The rotted 3/4 marine ply was replaced where necessary.  Then faired and painted on both sides.  Replacement mahogany trim was created and coated in epoxy.  Also, in this area the helm windshield lower frame had rot damage.  This was cut out and replaced with a new piece replicating the original.  The new windshield piece was faired into the existing.
